FAQ

Registered-Agent.com.au can act as an intermediary between officeholders of Australian companies and Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) to help companies meet their lodgement obligations more efficiently. Below you have answers to some of the most asked questions.

What plan should I choose?

We have different options available, on a monthly or yearly plan. Choosing a plan is pretty straightforward, if you have one company you should choose the Personal plan; if you have two or three companies, then Business plan is for you; if you have four or five, the Professional plan is for you. Any of the plans can be on a monthly or yearly basis.

How does it work?

From your dashboard you can add one or more companies to your list, depending on your plan. Once a company is added, a consent to act as your registered agent will be generated. You will have to download the consent, sign it and send it to us. Once we validate the document, your company will start benefiting from all of our services.

What can I do from my dashboard?

You can easily add / remove companies, check all details of existing active companies (registered office, principal place of business, ASIC review date, officeholders, share structure and shareholders), download ASIC annual review statement and solvency resolution (on each company anniversary) and check your current ASIC debts, if any.

How will I receive notifications?

We recommend that you utilise our user-friendly dashboard to check your debts and due dates. If you do not have time to do that, you do not have to worry about it. Once you sign up to use our services, you will get FREE real-time email and SMS notifications about your company annual review with ASIC, your invoice, your annual statement and due dates.

What if I want to cancel or upgrade?

Upgrading, cancelling or switching between monthly and yearly plan is easier than subscribing to one. Just access Settings -> Billing area from your dashboard and follow the instructions. When you upgrade, you will need to pay only the difference. Cancelling your subscription will still maintain the right to use our platform until the expiry date.

It is mandatory to have a Registered Agent?

Absolutely not. As a director or officeholder of an Australian company, you can lodge company compliance documents with ASIC using its online portal, free of charge. Unless you know exactly what documents you are supposed create/generate with each lodgement, there are chances you will miss something and you may not be maintaining compliance at all.

What company changes you can submit to ASIC?

We can help you submit company registration applications - ASIC Form 201, change to company details (registered office, principal place of business, directors, shareholders, share structure) - ASIC Form 484, application for voluntary deregistration of a company - ASIC Form 6010, Notification of resolution to change company name - ASIC Form 205A, and more.

Who is responsible for meeting company's obligations?

According to the Corporation Act 2001 (Cth), all directors or officeholders of a company registered in Australia, are responsible for meeting all the legal obligations. These obligations require directors, officeholders, or a registered agent such as a company compliance expert or accountant, to lodge company compliance documents with ASIC every year.
